New Bible Study for Women

Thursday, January 20th, 2011

We invite you to go deeper still in our relationship with God in our 6 week Bible Study for Women at Bethel Baptist Church starting the week of May 9th.

Kay Arthur teaches from basically, the entire book of Hebrews! Hebrews is both an example of God’s faithfulness and a challenge to believers to be faithful in difficult times.
Priscilla Shirer teaches from Ephesians 3:20-21 on God’s abundance. A fundamental basis for every believer is the absolute reality that God can do whatever He chooses to do. God’s ability empowers our faithfulness.
Beth Moore teaches on the topic of discernment. In these difficult days it is absolutely essential that we learn to trust the Holy Spirit to enable us to determine what is true and what is false.

While these three women each speak on the distinctive topic the Holy Spirit had lead them to teach, the messages result in a marvelous blend. Kay challenges us to faithfulness in difficult days. Priscilla points to the essential of trust in God’s ability, and Beth teaches on how to discern truth from error in these difficult days.

Each teacher provides two weeks of study in a brief format that will take most women 15 to 30 minutes daily.

Cost is $15.

Women’s Bible Study at Bethel

Monday, September 13th, 2010

This Thursday we are starting a 10 week Bible study in the book of Esther. This bible study was written by Beth Moore. All women are invited! Here is some more information about the study:

The subtitle of the study is: “It’s Tough Being a Woman”. I think that every single one of us can agree with that statement. Beth Moore introduces 7 reasons why it’s hard being a woman in the first 5 weeks, and then gives us God’s answer to each one of those reasons in the second 5 weeks.

Here is a list of the topics:

1. It’s tough being a woman in another woman’s shadow ( talking about Esther in Queen Vashti’s shadow)

2. It’s tough being a woman where beauty is a treatment ( talking about Esther’s experience in the beauty contest search for a new queen)

3. It’s tough being a woman in a mean world ( talking about Haman’s hatred for the Jews)

4. It’s tough being a woman thrown a giant sized weight ( talking about Mordecai’s command to Esther to approach the king)

5. It’s tough being a woman in the tight fist of fear ( talking about Esther’s response to Mordecai’s command to approach king)

6. It’s tough being a woman who can balance passion with patience (talking about Esther’ waiting for the right time to expose Haman to the king)

7. It’s tough being a woman who feels responsible for the “HOW” ( talking about How God will save the Jews from Haman’s edict of annihilation)

Ladies, God’s Word is so beautiful! It is amazing how a story about the Jews that happened centuries ago can be so current and applicable to us today! Give God an hour of your week every Thursday night to take thie journey with us and you will NEVER regret you did. I can promise you that!

Here is a video for you:

The cost for the study is $25.
